Core Rules

 
These are the only rules required to play the game.
All other rules are optional
  1. Shuffle the cards representing the scenes, place the deck face down.
  2. Draw a scene and turn it over.
  3. Choose a quadrant on the card in rotation: on the first card, you MUST choose quadrant 1, second card you MUST choose quadrant 2, etc. You can use the scene prompt you get. OR,
  4. If you choose not to use the scene prompt, discard that card and draw the next card. You MUST use the scene prompt in the same quadrant on this card. Once used, discard the card.
  5. Resolve the scene prompt.
  6. Player develops (writes) the scene, using the scene prompt, resolving any actions.
  7. Evaluate the result (health, death, etc.)
  8. Repeat until you've gone through the scene deck, then reshuffle the deck and repeat until the story ends.
